Myths, legends and heroes with Greece
A hybrid project extended by hosting a Greek group in Guadeloupe
Without an outgoing physical mobility in 2024-2025, the Greek partnership took shape through a ten-day hosting in Guadeloupe: citizens’ rally, mangrove kayaking, MACTE and storytelling festival, around shared founding myths.
The project
Hosting by families on the Friday evening, immersive weekend, then welcome at school by the “Heroes, myths and legends” project group: table-tennis tournament with the sports association, “History and Indian culture” workshop, class visits with buddies.
Inter-school citizens’ rally at Bois-Jolan beach, visit of the MACTE memorial, discovery outing to the Moule mangrove by kayak, DNL history-geography class, international storytelling and imagination festival at the town-hall square, “Trace de la grande pointe” hike in Trois-Rivières.
The school’s weekly hybrid workshop: fed in English and Greek: prepares the next cross mobilities with the Artemis partner.
The Café Philo and the heritage workshop reconnected with Greece around founding myths: cross-readings, bilingual productions and video conferences with the 2nd SHS of Artemis.

- Hybrid “Myths, legends and heroes” project with the Artemis high school: virtual exchanges and hosting in Guadeloupe, without outgoing physical mobility.
- March 2025: hosting of 12 Greek students and 2 accompanying teachers (mathematics) around the theme “Active citizenship”.
- The announced team on the Guadeloupean side: 11 students of the Café Philo and of civic engagement, 2 accompanying teachers (CPE, philosophy) and 2 staff members on observation placement (history-geography, life and earth sciences).
Results and follow-up
Active citizenship experienced on the hosting side, continuity of the Greek partnership started in 2024, and inter-school opening of the Erasmus+ project.
